Albendazole – anthelmintic used against nematodes of the gastrointestinal and breathing apparatus. Paralyzes the nervous ganglia of nematodes and inhibits dehydrogenases stopping bioenergetic processes of body parasites. This action is manifested on nematodes: Dictyocaulus, Haemonchus, Oesophagostomum, Nematodirus, Bunostomum, Ascaris suum, Metastrongylus, Trichuris.
Albendazole powder 20% is used in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry to combat respiratory and gastrointestinal nematodes device and to control the state of immunofluorescence to the young species.
Method of administration and dosage.
The drug is mixed with food and given to:
- Cattle – 2.0 g/50kg body weight;
- Horses – 2.0 g/50kg body weight;
- Goats and sheep – 2.0 g/80kg body weight;
- Swine – 2.0 g/40kg body weight;
- Birds – 2.0 g/40kg body weight.
Contraindications and precautions. Do not allow administration of the drug: to sows in gestation period.
For meat – 8 days, for milk – 3 days.
Storage conditions. Dry place, protected from light.
Validity period. 2 years
Way of presenting: Bags of 2g, 500g, 1000g.
