Neomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic used against the most important pathogenic Gram negative and Gram positive intestinal bacteria (Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Proteus spp., Klebsiella spp., Brucella abortus, Staphylococcus albus etc).
Traget species. Cattle, equine, sheep, goats, pigs, birds, dogs, cats.
The product is recommended for the treatment of bacterial enteritis caused by neomycin-sensitive pathogenic intestinal bacteria.
Method of administration and dosage.
The product is administered orally, individually or collectively (in feed or drinking water) at different doses, depending on the species, animal category and condition:
Calves, horses, pigs, lambs, goatling, dogs, cats: 0.1 – 0.2 g product / kg b.w. / day for 3-5 days (depending on disease progression).
Poultry (laying hens, chicken broilers): 1.0 g product / 1 – 2 L water for 3-5 days (depending on disease progression). In feed: 2 kg of product per tonne of feed.
To ensure a correct dose, the body weight of animals should be accurately determined whenever possible in order to avoid overdosing.
